Veoh-The Future Of TV?
Saturday, December 03, 2005
The San Francisco based company Veoh has a really interesting concept; they have developed a free to use TV broadcasting system where Internet is the data carrier. Fee-based viewing is coming in the future, but at the moment everything is free. The broadcasting is managed by a technology called PeerCasting, which can be described as a peer-to-peer network for distributing reviewed video material. They desceribe it as 'It's what happens when you cross the Internet with television'. The timing couldn’t be better since the demand for free video material for iPods and PSPs currently is huge.
